John Denver is a popular artist and musician who has touched many people through his music. Many of these are based on Colorado. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, he was in love with Colorado and then relocated to Aspen. A few beat a path towards Colorado after hearing Denver's popular songs for his home state. G. People will beg, "Oh John Denver!" when they hear that you are from Colorado. Brown said. Take Me Home Country Roads, co-written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief stint with folk bands which was Denver's first Top 10 solo hit. Danoff had written the song in the spirit of Johnny Cash, but Denver discovered an early version and knew it would become one of the Top 10 hits. Just a few days after performing to an excited audience in Washington D.C., the performer recorded the track.
